This week hasn't been as much about progressing in size but making lots of hexies.
Note the plastic bowl I use for scraps. Gotta love living with dogs. Sometimes.

OMG....I really over did it on Sunday. Spring yard work that got a delayed start because of unseasonably cold weather. I was able to plant bulbs, clean up several flower beds and do some transplanting. And of course conclude with cutting the grass. Boy am I suffering the last two days. I hope it will all be worthwhile when in a few weeks I can sit on the porch and enjoy the view. Please picture the chair without the tire.....This is what I tie the dog to when I'm working in the yard. She doesn't easily run off and I can move it where I am working. Win-win.
My daughter is graduating from high school in just a few weeks. We met with a photographer sat morning to get some casual Sr pictures taken. A fun morning but quite the reminder of how quickly time flies. She has grown into a wonderful young woman. I love her.
Does it look bigger yet? Nearly 11 hexies on each side. About 8 more rows to go. I try to pick it up every day, and I do manage to do this most days. I have so many other things I should be doing....but hope to finish this in a few weeks.
I now have nine hexies to a side. I have figured I need 16 or 18 on each side to reach the finished size. When I was excited to be half way, my husband reminded me that considering the total number needed I am actually only about 1/3 of the way to being finished. Drat.
