I have been running every other day and have been quite pleased until yesterday.
Let me explain I am not an athlete at all. I began running off and on a few years ago to combat what middle age woman saga is doing to my body and mind.
Having said that, I am not a marathon runner but would like to be. Yesterday may have been the proof that I am not meant for this to be.
I have been running in five minute intervals with a one minute walk in between intervals. Yesterday I ran eight minute intervals and have had knee pain since completing my run. I am less than happy as this has set back my routine!
It is receiving mixed reviews and I understand will be a movie out this year staring Ben Affleck. I am loving the format of the book and a little more than half way it takes a unexpected turn. So I haven't don't much sewing this week. I have even brought the book to work to read during my lunch break. I know I will be looking for another that will grab me like this when I am finished. Any suggestions? I did read one of her other books, Sharp Objects. I would recommend that as well. This was a very productive weekend for the fourth graduation quilt made in 2014.I share pics and two different layouts I was auditioning while trying to decide what to do.
And of course always a little "Un sewing" seems to be part of the process.
I am looking at the information for the Hershey half marathon in October of this year. I think I have a little more realistic expectations regarding my ability to run the entire route. Many people do intervals of running and walking. Soooo I have this back on my radar if I can remain injury free. 14 weeks to prepare.
And so it begins...another start that absolutely cannot be a ufo! This has a destination and a deadline. ..more progress pics to come soon.
Last night we were watching fire works at a friends house. While parked along the street someone drove by and took out the driver's side mirror. Grrrrrr. I hadn't realized how often I actually use that mirror.
