Growing without help

Not looking too stellar this summer, the gourds I planted early spring are producing a nice crop.  Despite my neglect because of a crazy summer.  I'm glad something is at least semi-thriving.  I had a few hours this afternoon to work in the yard.  I enjoy that and find it somewhat therapudic to pull weeds and clean up the flower and vegtable beds.  Now I am off to nurse an achey back.

Do you ever want to unplug?

In the very techno savvy world we live in today, somehow everything we do seems to require a connection of some sort.  Our computer at home was "unplugged" for about 48 hours and you'd think it was the end of the world for my children.  I was shampooing carpets in the area where the computer is set up and all the furniture was removed from that area for the weekend.  I have to admit, being the one that set everything back up (including the computer) I was the first one to access and check what I had missed over the short period of time.

I did put finishing touches to my Red Raider Quilt for my recent high school grad nephew that will be attending Shippensburg University.  Home of the Red Raiders.

Check it out......

Now, I'm kinda liking the unplugged results, and the time it allowed me to finish this quilt.

Back to work today, wishing I were home to be one with my machine.
